Organized Pallet Storage for Efficient Inventory Management

One of the common but major tasks in industries and factories are product or inventory transportation and storage for future use. Without sufficient inventory a firm cannot provide goods to its vendors or customers. In order to manage the inventory factories and industries invest in high standard storage options. These products are usually stored in racks one after another which is known as pallet storage. The basic advantage of storing products in such a way is that the storage is done easily in horizontal and vertical rows and the stacking process is done without much effort. It is an efficient way of storing goods securely in storage areas. Time taken to store in such pallet storages is much less than other storage mediums. This tyoe of storages come in several types and are chosen as pe the type of products to be stacked. These pallet storage methods are useful and help the staff members to store the pallets effectively.

Ways in which pallet storage is done For warehouses and industries to function smoothly, pallet storage systems consist of:

  1. Blocked stacking

  2. Frames stacking

  3. Deep pallet storage

  4. Double deep rack

  5. Drive in rack

  6. Pallet flow rack

  7. Push back rack The above systems vary from one another. Each of them has its own way of storing things depending on the space and the products being stored.

  8. Blocked Stacking: In such a system of pallet storage, the units are stacked one by one on top of another in the warehouse. There are specific blocks to which the weight and the height are ultimately determined. The method is cheap and is not so difficult to get it implemented in any warehouse.

  9. Frames stacking: Such storages can be increased as and when required depending upon the number of products to be stored and as per their consequent weight. The pallets are stored to a great height and can be moved easily.

  10. Deep pallet storage: When the product is removed and the respective space is empty another product is inserted in the deep pallet storage style. This is quite a flexible method and new pallets can readily be stored without much difficulty.

  11. Double deep rack: Just like the above, this storage system just installs two racks in a single pallet and the products can be easily removed and inserted anytime. An instrument like a forklift is used to stack and restack the products.

  12. Drive in the rack: When talking about the drive in the rack storage system, the individual racks can be shifted from one place to another and can be removed as well. The forklift tremendously helps to shift the products and the time has taken is significantly reduced on using such storage medium

  13. Pallet Flow rack: This system ensures that after the load of the products have been removed successfully; the pallets too can be shifted in a jiffy. Once the original pallet has been replaced, another one is inserted in its place. Though it is an expensive solution, warehouses and industrial units do use it for their smooth functioning.

  14. Push back rack: This system works like a push back technique, where the load is shifted until n unless the load fits in and the load is again inserted in the next lane of the pallet. However, the stacking is done so that the products can be easily removed and reloaded again.

Is pallet storage an effective solution to warehouses? Pallet storage is an effective way inventory is managed by the industrial units. These storage pallets help in the enhancing the efficiency of the entire storing scene and also acts as a guide to the workers so that they can avoid mishandling of products causing financial loss.
