  3. Dry lining – The plasterer also fixes the internal plasterboard or wallboard partitions by accumulating them together on a metal frame. These are used as decorative pieces.

Tasks and duties of a plasterer:

  1. Taking measurement of the plasterboard and cutting it in the specified size.

  2. Securing panels on the walls and ceilings.

  3. Preparing designs like cornices, ceiling roses, and other plaster fittings.

  4. Pasting plaster coat and cement using trowels.

  5. Leveling and smoothing plaster layers.

  6. Covering and smoothing over joins and nail holds using sealing compounds and giving it a final finish by sandpaper.

  7. Giving the final finish coat, and adding decorative effects.

  8. Application of insulating materials bonded together plaster.

To complete all these tasks, one must have expertise in all these works. With a regular course in plastering, one can surely get the necessary qualification and technical expertise, but to master this art, it is always advisable that the budding plasterer should always work under the guidance of a trained and professional plasterer.
